I am in my fourth year at Southern Illinois in Carbondale and serve as a Sports Information Director in its athletic department. In this role, I have gotten experience in creating video content, shooting photos, and graphic design for social media.
Over the course of my four years at SIU, I have shot videos ranging from highlights, question of the days, mic'd ups, sports crossovers, and more interactive content with athletes and teams. My photography experience includes games, practices, jersey reveals, recruit shoots, community events, and more. I have gained extensive experience in graphic design, mainly using Adobe Photoshop. I have created graphics for game days, broken records, hall of fame, and notable athletic events.
To go along with creating content, I have also developed skills in writing and broadcasting. I have written everything from features, game recaps, athlete spotlights, and opinion pieces. Throughout my college years, I served as the Editor-in-Chief, Sports Editor, and Reporter. As a broadcaster, I have play-by-play experience on ESPN+ calling Division I football, basketball, baseball, and volleyball.
Over the past four years as a Saluki, I have developed a passion for content creation and social media. I am looking for opportunities that continue to let me expand on this interest.
For my thesis, I filmed "A Day in the Life" documentary that highlighted the behind-the-scenes of fall sports at SIU.
